It is that magical time of year again when cherished seasonal traditions come to life. No, we aren’t talking about jolly ol' Santa Cloud bringing innovative technology to all of the good IT pros around the world (by the way, don’t forget to share your RDM and Devolutions PAM wish list here!). We are referring to our annual year in review, when we reflect on the biggest and best moments over the last 12 months at Devolutions.
Events in 2024
In just a few days, we will launch part one of our recap (January – June), and then follow-up with part two (July – December). Today, we are getting things started by highlighting where the Devolutions Event Team journeyed in 2024:

For those who like to keep score, the Event Team travelled around 97,000km/60,273 miles in 2024 (and were told “please return your seats and tray tables to their full upright and locked position” more times than they can remember!)
The top 5 events
We asked the Devolutions Event Team to share their top five events of 2024. And…they refused (although they did so very politely). Why? Because they said choosing their favorite events was impossible, since each was unique, and all were enjoyable and successful.
That is when we remembered that they’re all GEEKS. And so we said: “Imagine that you had to pick your top five moments from the entire Star Wars movie franchise. It wouldn’t be easy, but surely you could do this if you gave it some serious thought and reflection. And that’s essentially what we’re asking.”
That’s when they had an aha moment (geek-logic is very convincing!).
And so, here is the Devolutions Event Team’s top 5 events of 2024, along with some reasons why they found an event so special and memorable:
- Devolutions Central 2024. This was a blast! What’s better than spending a few hours talking about solutions, technologies, and trends with the people who matter most to us: our global user community? We can’t wait until the next one!
- GISEC Global 2024. This was the first time we visited Dubai, and we had the opportunity to meet some incredible people and start some great relationships. Also, everyone who says that Dubai is like an amazing world unto itself is right — you really have to see it to believe it!
- RSAC 2024. This is such a massive and important event, and this year’s RSCA definitely lived up to the hype. Also, Devolutions' VP of products, Maurice Côté, was interviewed at RSAC. Maurice discussed how privileged access management was initially built for large enterprises, but has evolved over the years into a solution that small and mid-sized businesses are now adopting.
- it-sa Expo&Congress. We couldn’t wait to return this year to it-sa so we could meet old friends and make new ones. Plus, we were thrilled to be joined by one of our favorite people: Gerhard Ryznar, Devolutions' Support Team Leader in Europe! (Tip: check out the new interview with Gerhard and learn about his journey from Devolutions’ power user to team member!)
- Microsoft Ignite. The numbers and energy at Microsoft Ignite in Chicago this year were incredible: over 14,000 in-person attendees, and more than 350,000 attendees connecting online. It was definitely one of the highlights of the year, and we can’t wait to see what’s planned for 2025 — rumor has it that it will be in San Francisco.
2025 beckons
The Devolutions Event Team isn’t going to have much time to relax and unwind during the holidays, because once 2025 arrives they will be back in action.
