Working in IT is usually serious, often stressful, and occasionally scary (just ask the folks at CrowdStrike these days!). That is why it’s so important to have a little fun every now and then — which is why you’ll love playing our new game called Where is Maurice?
What is Where is Maurice?
Maurice is one of the main characters in our popular comic Sysadminotaur. As usual, he is over-worked and under-appreciated. But now there is something new and different about our beloved IT hero: he is hiding!
You see, we have hidden Maurice on a page somewhere on the Devolutions website. Your task is to find him, which could win you a monthly prize valued at $50. All of the gameplay details are in the next section.

How to play
Playing Where is Maurice? is simple:
- Find Maurice: As mentioned, Maurice is hidden away on a page within the Devolutions website. Who knows? You may stumble across him right away — or it might take some sleuthing and hunting.
- Report your discovery: Visit this page, and fill out the brief form indicating your name and email address, along with the URL of the page where Maurice is hiding, and a validation code that you will find in our monthly newsletter. If you have not yet subscribed to our newsletter, you can easily do it here (scroll down to the bottom of the page).
- Submit the form: Once you have completed the brief form, click the “I FOUND MAURICE!” button. You and everyone else who correctly discovered Maurice’s whereabouts during the month will be automatically entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card. If you’re the lucky winner, then we will contact you using the email address that you supplied in the form.
Get hints on Reddit
To make playing Where is Maurice? even more enjoyable, we have created a Reddit community where you will find some hints about Maurice’s monthly hiding spot.
You can also share hints if you wish, as well as talk to your fellow IT pros from around the world about new pages and sections of the Devolutions website that you discovered while playing the game.
The quest never ends
Each month, we will be moving Maurice to a new location on the Devolutions website. The quest to locate him never ends, and you will always have a fresh opportunity to find him — and a new chance to win!
