Right on schedule per our CEO David’s Devolutions’ 2025 Roadmap, in the last few days we unveiled the year’s first major updates (2025.1) across our full product ecosystem, including:
- Remote Desktop Manager
- Devolutions Server
- Devolutions PAM
- Devolutions Hub
- Devolutions Gateway
- Devolutions Workspace
Our talented Product Marketing Manager, Yann, created a great new video exploring some of the exciting additions and improvements. Below is a summary of what Yann covered in his tour of the 2025.1 releases:
What’s new in Remote Desktop Manager 2025.1
- CyberArk Secure Infrastructure Access (SIA): Launch RDP and SSH sessions via CyberArk SIA to secure your endpoints.
- Artificial intelligence integration: Open a basic chat with the ability to correct and summarize text in certain boxes (currently works with Ollama, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Gemini; Claude will be added soon).
- Advanced management features: Fully configure Devolutions PAM and managed Devolutions Gateway instances directly from within RDM.
- Flexible access with portable licenses: Retain a license provided by its data source (Devolutions Server, Devolutions Hub, or SQL Server) for a set period. If another data source lacks a license, RDM checks for an available and unexpired license, and if found will use it.
What’s new in Devolutions Server 2025.1
- Grant temporary access to all connections in a folder: Instead of individually selecting and temporarily sharing entries with a user, save time and effort by selecting an entire folder and share all of its entries at once.
- Enhanced views of web-based sessions: See all web-based sessions within a single tab, instead of opening in a new window (this improvement was introduced in Devolutions Hub, and we are thrilled to bring it to Devolutions Server!).
- Expanded vault search: Include the system vault in searches, which makes it easier and faster to find shared entries.
What’s new in Devolutions PAM 2025.1
- Enhanced SSH key management: Rotate and control SSH keys across systems in order to manage, govern, and enforce user access rules and policies.
- PAM-specific permission support: Lock down PAM accounts with permissions such as resetting passwords, forcing check-ins, and reading logs.
What’s new in Devolutions Hub 2025.1
- Enhanced management of privileged accounts: Scan, import, and manage privileged accounts with customizable account providers directly from within Devolutions Hub.
- Automate and distribute reports: Schedule the generation of expired entry reports, expiring entry reports, and password analyzer reports, and automatically email them to users.
What’s new in Devolutions Gateway 2025.1
- Unified Devolutions Gateway management: Manage updates from a single, centralized location by choosing to update to the latest/specific version, or launching a bulk update for multiple Gateways.
- Session shadowing: Watch an in-progress session recording to assist, troubleshoot, and audit in-process work.
- Alternate Gateways: Ensure connectivity by using alternate Gateways to manually select specific fallbacks, instead having to run a Gateway farm.
What’s new in Devolutions Workspace 2025.1
- Entry autotype support: Rapidly fill out firms and sign into applications by having Workspace automatically capture text from entries, and type them into websites.
- Safari support: The rewritten and updated browser extension for Workspace now fully supports the new Apple Safari browser extension standard.
