That AI is going to significantly change, create, and re-invent many aspects of life is no longer a question of “if.” Rather, it is a matter of “when.”
The good news is that there are many positive, and in some cases profound applications of AI. For example, AI is leading to breakthroughs in medical research, creating access to education for millions of people in developing nations, and helping combat climate change.
However, the story isn’t entirely uplifting.
There is a darker side of AI that has many people concerned — and for valid reasons. For example, the rise of “Offensive AI” is giving hackers new ways to carry out cyberattacks, there are serious privacy concerns regarding AI chatbots like ChatGPT, and on a fundamental level there is the worry that regardless of how smart and sophisticated an AI system might be, bad data invariably leads to algorithmic bias.
And that brings us to May’s poll question: What are your biggest concerns about AI?
Please note that your responses are not limited to AI in your workplace. For example, while you may not have plans to utilize AI in your company, you may still be concerned about how AI could generate deepfakes, drive socioeconomic inequities, trigger stock market volatility, etc.
You Could Win
By participating in this month’s poll, you will be automatically entered (not by AI, but by the friendly human beings here at Devolutions!) to win one of two $25 Amazon gift cards. We’ll announce the winners in early June when we look at your top AI-related concerns.
Thank you in advance for participating, and we look forward to your insightful and interesting responses!
