Hello! My name is Laurence Cadieux, and I’m a Communication Coordinnator here at Devolutions. My role includes overseeing the content strategy and development of our blog, managing the content and communication for our VIP advocate platform “Devolutions Force,” and working closely with our PR partners around the world. I also handle our off-site content opportunities (magazines, journals, newspapers, etc.). Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing. When I’m not working, I sing in a band, and I enjoy watching my favorite movies again and again. I also love cooking, and during the pandemic, I became a bread expert — I can now bake the most amazing key lime pie on earth (if I do say so myself!). Devolutions Central 2022 is Happening on December 7!

Summary

Devolutions Central is returning this year with the same energy and enthusiasm of previous years, but with a few changes: the half-day event will take place December 7, 2022, in the afternoon for North American time zones, and European time zones can expect an event for them in early 2023.

What is Devolutions Central?

Devolutions Central is a special event during which our experts take a deep dive into various Devolutions’ solutions and interact with attendees. It is also a great networking opportunity to connect with other IT pros from around the world, and of course we have fun stuff like games, contests, and prizes.

The inaugural Devolutions Central was held in Montreal. Then in 2021, due to the pandemic we moved Devolutions Central online (who can forget that intro with Max and the “technical difficulties”?).

Since the online event was so successful last year — we welcomed more than 550 attendees from around the world — we decided to keep things virtual… but with a twist!

New for 2022

Instead of a full-day event, this year Devolutions Central 2022 will be a half-day event on December 7, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm (EST/-5 GMT). Based on feedback, this change should allow more people to attend.

Because we realize that this time frame takes place while our friends in Europe are probably eating supper, spending time with their families, and putting their kids to bed, we are also planning a European edition of Devolutions Central for early 2023, which will better accommodate European schedules.

What’s In Store

Just because we’re reducing the duration doesn’t mean that we’re dialing back the information, interaction, or FUN. On the contrary, this year’s edition of Devolutions Central — which will be aired LIVE from our very own production studio — promises to be the best ever! We’ve invited a talented stand-up comedian to help us animate the event, as well as your favorite Devolutions experts and leaders, including our founder and CEO, David Hervieux, to share their expert knowledge and vision for Devolutions' products.
