Throughout history, much has been said and written about the power and mystery of the light side of the universe, and the dark side of the universe. For example:
- “The instruments of darkness tell us truths.” — William Shakespeare
- “Look, up at the sky. There is a light, a beauty up there, that no shadow can touch.” —J.R.R. Tolkien
- “Even in the darkest circumstances, there is a light. Sometimes only a glimmer. Trust that light. Find a way back.” — Jean Luc Picard
- “You underestimate the power of the Dark Side.” — Darth Vader (also reportedly said by Darth Vader after he couldn’t pay his electricity bill).
Why are we taking this mystical tour through light and darkness? Because for the August poll, we want to know: for software and apps, are you team light mode or team dark mode?
There is a good chance that you spend some time in light mode, and some time in dark mode. If so, then let us know which one you prefer overall. Please also let us know in what scenarios you usually toggle light mode, and when you shift to dark mode.
