Hello! My name is Laurence Cadieux, and I’m a Communication Coordinnator here at Devolutions. My role includes overseeing the content strategy and development of our blog, managing the content and communication for our VIP advocate platform “Devolutions Force,” and working closely with our PR partners around the world. I also handle our off-site content opportunities (magazines, journals, newspapers, etc.). Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing. When I’m not working, I sing in a band, and I enjoy watching my favorite movies again and again. I also love cooking, and during the pandemic, I became a bread expert — I can now bake the most amazing key lime pie on earth (if I do say so myself!). Plus, I recently discovered LEGO and there is no turning back — I’m hooked! I’m always happy to help, and you can reach me directly at lcadieux@devolutions.net.

Before COVID-19, remote working was becoming more popular (despite some ill-advised and short-lived attempts by some companies to completely ban it). Now, though, remote working has become the norm. What’s more, several companies, such as Facebook, Shopify, Square, Slack, Group PSA, and Box, have announced that they will let many employees work from home on a permanent basis even after the pandemic is over.

And so, that brings us to the March poll question: What remote working technologies has your company introduced in the last year?

Some possibilities include:

  • A password manager
  • A privileged access management (PAM) solution
  • A remote connection management solution
  • A VPN
  • A VoIP phone system
  • …and the list goes on.

Please share some of the technologies that have recently been added to your organization, to help remote workers stay productive, engaged, and safe.

Please also share your experiences adopting these technology tools and platforms. Have your non-technical colleagues struggled, or has it been easy for them? Have you had positive and/or negative dealings with vendors? Has the implementation been complex or straightforward? Your insights will help the community know what to expect if they are following your path: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

You Could Win

By participating in the poll, you’ll be automatically entered to win one of two $25 Amazon gift cards. That’s enough to buy yourself this glorious mug.

We’ll share the results and announce the winners in early April. Thanks in advance for participating!
