2014 Year in Review: Part 1

Anne-Marie Mongeon

As Devolutions’ marketing coordinator, I’m in charge of the company’s social media and advertising portfolios. I’m also responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing relationships within and beyond the Remote Desktop Manager community. I’m also in charge of the Devolutions blog, which means that I’ll be writing about various topics that, I hope, will be interesting and relevant to community members like you.

Hello everyone! The year is coming to a close, and that means it’s time once again to reflect on the past 12 months, and highlight some events that made 2014 possibly the most eventful in Devolutions’ history!

January
GeekVSNerd

We started year off by publishing some Case Studies that features how some of our happy customers use Remote Desktop Manager in their environments, including: BCS Group, Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and IVU Traffic Technologies.

In January, we also asked you if you were a Geek or a Nerd (or maybe a Gerd or a Neek!). And on the product-side, we were thrilled to launch Remote Desktop Manager 9.1!

February

Since February is when the big game happens, we had tons of fun sharing our best tips for an unforgettably geek-friendly Super Bowl party. And since the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia had begun, we couldn’t resist creating the Geek Olympics! And since Valentine’s Day is all about love, we also shared some of the biggest reasons why we love working at Devolutions.

March

In March, in response to many requests from our community, we launched a Remote Desktop Manager extension for Chrome which is available in the Chrome Web Store.

April!!!Maintenance-Plan-Devolutions

April only has 30 days, but we made the most of our each one! We started by posting the Devolutions support overview, in order to help our users clearly see which support plan was best for them and their team. We also published the top reasons to renew your RDM Maintenance Plan. Some of the reasons include: being able to download new versions of RDM, staying up-to-date with the latest improvements, and getting faster support. And of course, in April we also we launched the very exciting RDM Jump Beta!

May

In May, we welcomed back our comic friends at SYSADMINOTAUR. Plus, our team headed down to Houston where we exhibited at Microsoft TechEd 2014! We had a blast meeting all IT pros from all around the world. It was also nice to get away from the cold for a few days J

June

In June, our team grew even bigger and we happily welcomed some amazing new team members: Stephanie, Sébastien, Olivier and Nicolas! And since Stephanie is very** eco-conscious**, in June she also posted a very important blog on Green IT).

Stay tuned for part 2 of our 2014 year in review.

Cheers!
