Plato believed that “at the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.” Well, last month we asked you to wax poetically about what RDM integration you love, and what you covet.
Let’s start by looking at the three most popular RDM integrations that have captured your hearts.
“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s RDP?”
RDP was the most loved RDM integration. Community members love how fast and easy it is to add and open RDP sessions. They also enjoy the freedom and flexibility of launching multiple sessions simultaneously, and switching between them whenever they wish (via thumbnail view, or by rearranging open sessions with split screen). Check out this section of the RDM Knowledge Base to learn more about this integration, and watch this video on automating RDP in RDM.
“Crazy in love (with Active Directory)”
RDM+AD was the second most popular integration. The AD dashboard entry in RDM provides a centralized and efficient way to manage and interact with AD services. There is so much to love, such as not having to sign in or out of a domain controller, the power to manage the BitLocker keys of AD-joined devices, and the option to reset user passwords directly from within RDM. Check out this page for a deeper look at this integration.
“Gone with the Microsoft Entra ID”
Rounding out the top three is Microsoft Entra ID. This is a relatively new addition to RDM (added in the 2024.2 release), and has quickly become one of the most popular integrations. Community members love being able to manage Entra ID users and groups from an easy-to-use interface, and the option to revoke user sessions and reset user account passwords. Check out this page for a deeper look at this integration.
More to love
Other RDM integrations that community members swoon over include Bitwarden, SSH Terminal, Lansweeper, 1Password, LastPass, Delinea Secret Server, and Bitvise.

The heart beckons
What about the RDM integrations that aren’t currently available, but community members pine for and dream of? The list includes RoboForm, iLO, enhanced MCP tooling, and AI tooling (see below).
AI assistant is here!
We are thrilled to share that AI assistant is a new session type in RDM 2025.1! Users can open a basic chat with the ability to correct and summarize text in certain boxes. AI assistant currently works with Ollama, OpenAI, Azure Open AI, Gemini, and (soon) Claude.
The winners are…
Don’t worry, all of this love didn’t distract us from randomly selecting two poll participants who have each won a $25 Amazon gift card. Congratulations to John Kenny and MRay! Please email lcadieux@devolutions.net to claim your prize.
New poll on the way
We will be swapping that lovin’ feelin’ for a mop and bucket (you’ll see what we mean) in the March poll, which will be ready soon. Stay tuned!
