At Devolutions, we strive to offer seamless integrations with a variety of third-party solutions to enhance the flexibility, productivity, and security of Remote Desktop Manager (RDM). However, we also rely on our integration partners to maintain compatibility and ensure continued support. To that end, we must announce that the Netwrix Password Secure integration (formerly Mateso Password Safe) will be deprecated in an upcoming minor release of RDM 2025.1.
Why is this happening?
This decision was driven by Netwrix, which has opted not to maintain the integration with Remote Desktop Manager. Previously, we collaborated with them (as well as with Mateso prior to the acquisition) to ensure smooth functionality. However, following Netwrix’s acquisition of Mateso and their subsequent strategic shift, they have chosen to discontinue support for our integration. We had extensive back-and-forth discussions without any success. We encouraged our mutual users to contact us directly, but Netwrix continues to view us as competitors—even after we offered to purchase their product so we could maintain the integration ourselves in RDM.
What does this mean for you?
End of support: The Netwrix Password Secure integration will be officially deprecated in a minor release of RDM 2025.1. After this update, the integration will no longer be available or maintained.
Exploring alternatives: If you are currently using Netwrix Password Secure within RDM, you may want to consider alternative password management solutions. Remote Desktop Manager continues to integrate with a wide range of enterprise-grade password management tools that are actively maintained and supported.
Next steps
We understand that deprecations can be inconvenient, but our goal is to ensure that RDM provides reliable and well-supported integrations. We recommend that affected users begin planning a migration to RDM’s built-in password management or another password management solution. If you have any questions or need guidance on alternative solutions, please reach out to our Support team.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to provide you with the best remote access and credential management experience possible.
Thank you for your continued support!
