April is a month made to have fun. It starts with a day full of pranks and laughter. It’s spring and the snow from a harsh winter is finally melting. And then there are all of those chocolate bunnies. It’s like living in the land of chocolate!
Easter Traditions
The origins of Easter go back to when the month of April was dedicated to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of offspring and fertility — and whose symbol was the rabbit. Since then, many Easter traditions have arisen, including egg painting and egg hunting. Basically, you decorate eggs to make them fabulous, and then hide them for kids to find (although many grown-ups participate as well.
April’s Poll Question
For April’s poll question, we wanted to do something fun and interesting — and then it hit us: of course, Easter eggs! But not the kind you decorate and hide. Rather, the kind that are buried in movies, video games, TV shows, software apps, and so on. These kinds of Easter eggs could be a reference, an image, an inside joke, or anything else the creators decided to sneak in.
So this brings us to the April poll question: What are some of your favorite Easter eggs? You can list one or several — it’s totally up to you.
