Hi Mobile RDMers,
Since officially releasing RDM for Android and iOS late last year, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from IT pros who are using either or both clients to manage remote connections and passwords from anywhere.
But as you know, we’re always looking to improve. That’s why in last month’s poll, we asked for your advice on what we should add to the mobile versions of RDM.
As hoped for, we received some great responses here in our blog, via email, and through social media. Here are some of the recommendations:
- Add support for accessing **encrypted SQL databases **(In progress)
- Use smartphone finger sensors to authenticate and grant server access (iOS done, Android added to the todo list)
- Implement a touch-free interface (Hololens already ordered)
- Add **Dropbox integration **(Done for iOS and Android)
- Add one-tap access to Sysadminatour comics (hahaha good idea Ben!!!)
- Enhance **support for larger iPhone 6 screens **(Done)
- Implement eyeball tracking (when the technology becomes available)
- Put an “Add” button in the data source dropdown screen (Added to the todo list)
As mentioned, these are GREAT suggestions, and they’ve already been forwarded to our development team for review. Don’t be surprised if you see some of these ideas in upcoming versions!
An Interesting Insight…
We also heard from a few IT pros who weren’t aware that RDM for mobile even existed! We’re happy that you discovered it through our poll question. If you find this solution helpful, please consider telling your network and colleagues to give it a try.
And don't forget, both RDM for iOS and Android are completely FREE.

And the Winners Are…
We’re happy to randomly select 4 poll participants to each win a $25 Amazon gift card! And the winners are: Justin Azevedo, Ben Liebowitz, Nik Jones and Tom Higgins.
Congratulations!
And of course, thanks to everyone who participated in our poll. Our community is the best, and the monthly poll is one of our favorite traditions here at Devolutions.
April’s Poll is on the Way
Stay tuned for the April poll, which will be of particular interest to those of you who are interested in or concerned about data security.
