Hello RDMers,

It’s been a long time coming for this recent feature. We have had requests pouring in for months asking us for an option that will allow you to change an entry type with a click of a button.

Well, we are proud to announce that in our continuing tradition of pleasing our wonderful community, we now have a command to convert a connection type! By going in RefactoringChange Type, you will now have the option of changing any entry to another type.

For most conversions, you will only have to select the destination type and press OK. For some destination types, namely Putty (Telnet, SSH, RAW, rLogin) and FTP/FTPS/SFTP/SCP, you will have to choose a sub-type using the Details dropdown.

Yes, indeed, we are amazing, but only because you are also amazing! Keep us on our toes with your requests and we will keep doing our darnedest best to please you.

As always, please let us know your thoughts by using the comment feature of the blog. You can also visit our forums to get help and submit feature requests, you can find them here.
