Hey everyone,

Here at Devolutions, it’s like Christmas all over again because our amazing Add-on Manager André has given us yet another gift this month: the NEW PeguiNet SSH Client Add-on for Remote Desktop Manager. You can download it here: https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/addon#SessionAddOn_PenguiNetSSHClient

This is André’s fourth Add-On in March, and we still have more than a week to go! That man is on fiiiiiiiiiiiiirrreee.

For those who haven’t tried it yet, PenguiNet is a simple all-in-one SSH client for Windows. It also includes an SCP browser, so that you can easily transfer files with just a few mouse clicks.

Add-On Ideas?

Some members of our incredible community (a.k.a. YOU!) have been asking us how we create Add-ons. Like everything we do here at Devolutions, the answer is refreshingly simple and straightforward. The process typically works like this:

  1. Someone from our community suggests an Add-on, either by emailing us or posting in our forum.
  2. André very quickly evaluates the viability of creating the Add-on, and takes into consideration factors like whether it will seamlessly integrate with RDM (because we hate bugs even more than you do!), and how many users will benefit from the Add-On.
  3. If he decides that it’s a viable addition to our Add-on library, he gets to work! Often, he’ll connect directly with the individual who suggested the Add-on and they’ll collaborate and test it out together. It’s a lot of fun, and a level of ‘expert to expert’ interaction that you really don’t find in most IT companies.
  4. Usually, within a few weeks, the Add-on is released, and we get to celebrate it with a blog post (like this one!).

So, if you have a suggestion for a new Add-on idea, please feel free to comment below or post in our forum. As you know, we’re always listening to our community and will provide you with feedback even if we don’t create the Add-on you suggest (but we most likely WILL, so what are you waiting for?!)

Thanks!
