Here at Devolutions, we just keep growing and growing and growing (like that drumming pink energizer bunny). Today, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to the latest member of our family. Please give a warm Devolutions welcome to Michel Lambert, our new Software Developer!

I recently had the chance to chat with Michel and learn more about his experience and his role here at Devolutions. Here’s a look at our conversation:

Can you tell me a bit about your background?

I have been around a lot. I studied human science, and then earned a degree in pedagogy before going on a hiatus for a few years. Then I returned to school and earned a degree in software programming.

What would you say is your biggest achievement?

That would be becoming the dad of an amazing little boy. I’m also proud of the fact that I successfully returned to school.

What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here?

I had already heard some good things about Devolutions, so when I saw an opening to join the team I jumped at the chance. It’s great to have a job close to home in a field that I love.

What would you say are your top three strengths at work?

First, I'm a good team member. Second, I always seek to push my limits and find ways to get better at what I do. Third, I’m very curious, and am always looking for new things to learn.

What tasks do you carry out in your job, and what are some of the tools you use?

As a Software Developer on the Mac team, I mainly work on RDM for Mac, adding features and fixing bugs. Most of the time I use Visual Studio for Mac and XCode. I also use Visual Studio for Windows from time to time.

What is your impression of working here?

I love it! The atmosphere is friendly, and we can feel from management that they really care about their employees.

What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?

My primary goal is to improve my software development abilities and knowledge, so that I can deliver top quality services to Devolutions customers. My secondary goal is to develop my skills in cyber security.

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love getting acquainted with new technologies. I also write fantasy stories once in a while when I have the time.

Please share a few words with our community of IT pros:

I really hope that as a member of the Devolutions team, I will be able to help you out and contribute to the community.
