If you spend any time on Reddit — and hopefully some of that is on Devolutions’ very own subreddit — then you’ve probably come across a great forum called “Explain Like I’m Five”, or ELI5 for short.
If this is new to you, then as you might have guessed, ELI5 is where experts seek to explain a complicated topic in a way that anyone could understand. OK, maybe not a 5 year old, but we’re talking people who aren’t specialists, but want to grasp things like how phase-contrast microscopy works, or the eternal question that every man has asked: why does cologne sting after shaving?
Let’s Talk About Grandma
Here at Devolutions, we have a guiding development principle that is similar to ELI5, which is that our products should be so straightforward, simple and intuitive that “even your grandmother should be able to use them.”
Today, we’re extending that philosophy to our product descriptions so that the non-technical members of our community can clearly and easily understand what we offer, and how we can help them solve practical and important business problems.
