New Employee Spotlight: Antoine Mauger, QA Specialist

Antoine Mauger

Good morning everyone!

I know that some people just don’t like Mondays. But over here, we look forward to them because it’s our chance to introduce you to a great new team member. So please give a warm welcome to our new QA Specialist, Antoine Mauger!

Antoine is interested in a lot of things, from playing video games to walking in the woods. Here’s a snapshot of a recent conversation I had with him about his experience and role at Devolutions:

Can you tell me a bit about your background?

My passion for computers and technology in general began a few years ago when I realized how complex computers can be! I wanted to learn how everything worked, and so I completed a diploma in IT at the Centre de formation professionnelle des Riverains.

So far, what has been your biggest achievement?

There are many things I’ve done that I’m proud of. However, I would have to say that at this point in my life, joining the Devolutions team is my biggest accomplishment. Many people want to work here and the hiring process is quite competitive. I am thrilled to be here!

What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here?

I heard many good things about the work environment and the employees — and it’s all true! I’m the type of person that thrives in a workplace where people are friendly and happy, and I instantly fell in love with Devolutions.

What would you say are your top three strengths at work?

First, I’m always interested in learning new things. Second, I have a strong work ethic and always try to do my best. Third, I can adapt to different challenges and environments.

What tasks do you carry out in your job, and what are some of the tools you use?

My job mainly consists of finding and destroying bugs, which is an ongoing process because we have IT pros around the world who use our applications in different ways, and under various conditions. I constantly monitor our forum for feedback, and I use Jira to track issues.

What is your impression of working here?

I absolutely love working at Devolutions! I feel very at home and everybody wants to help everybody, which creates a very good vibe in the office.

What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?

My goals include increasing my knowledge and expertise in the IT field. Devolutions is a very good place to develop skills because we work with so many technologies. There’s always something new to learn.

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love playing video games. I’m also interested in anything related to technology, and I enjoy playing sports, walking in nature and traveling!

Please share a few words with our community of IT pros:

Our team is always working to give you the best of the best, and we are more than happy to help you. Don’t hesitate to contact us!
