Hello everyone! Another Monday means that it’s my pleasure to introduce you to another great new team member. Please give a warm Devolutions welcome to Alexandre Belisle, our new Service Desk Technician!

Just like Simon Roy who joined our Financial Services team last year, Alexandre has a special talent: he brews his own beer! As you might imagine, this has made him instantly popular here at Devolutions. And although it’s not a hobby of mine, I’m happy that Alexandre and others enjoy it (because it means more beer for the rest of us!).

Here are some other interesting things I learned about Alexandre during our recent conversation:

Can you tell me a bit about your background?

I completed my DEC diploma in Programming Management at Joliette in 2003, and then worked in software development and IT support for several years with a large car dealership group. During that time, I also had my own business through which I provided IT support, consulting and developing tools for multiple clients of all sizes.

What would you say is your biggest achievement?

Being the Vice President for a company that provided IT support for over nine years was a very rewarding experience. I learned as much about human relationships as I did about technical matters.

What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here?

I really wanted to be a part of something bigger, and join a team where employees were really valued and supported. I really like the culture here, and felt at home from the moment of my first interview.

What would you say are your top three strengths at work?

Tenacity, diplomacy and creativity.

What tasks do you carry out in your job, and what are some of the tools that you use?

My tasks are wide ranging, but they are all focused on the same goal: ensuring that our clients are satisfied. As for tools, I work mainly with Devolutions’ products. I also put my analysis and experience to good use.

What are your impressions of working here?

The culture and environment here are amazing.

What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?

My core goal is to improve customer experience. I’ve always been customer-oriented, and this is definitely a role that fits my skills and interests.

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I’m a pretty passionate person. When something interests me, I’m all in! I really like beer, and so I learned how to brew at home. And since I’ve always wanted to fly, I became a certified skydiver.
