New Employee Spotlight: Trycia Trudel, Janitress

Interview of Trycia Trudel our new janitress

Good morning everyone,

It’s Tuesday, which means you’re probably wondering where the weekend went (don’t worry, there’s another one in 4 days). Of course, you’re also eagerly looking forward to meeting another wonderful new member of the Devolutions team. And so, without further delay, please meet our incredible new Janitress, Trycia Trudel! (BTW, in case you’re not familiar with the term “janitress,” it is the female variation of “janitor”.

As you might expect, Trycia is the backbone that keeps our office organized, efficient, clean and productive. Without her valuable contribution, our office (which everyone loves) would probably look a lot like our cars and homes — and that’s just scary. So remember: the next time you benefit from RDM or any of our other solutions, you can also thank Trycia because she’s a key member of our production team (plus she’s a super nice person!).

Recently, I had the pleasure of chatting with Trycia to learn more about her background and personality.

Here’s a snapshot of our discussion:

What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest success so far is returning to school, while working at the same time in an environment that is conducive to my learning and career goals. I’m also very lucky to have a boss who is so flexible, understanding and supportive.

What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here?

What impressed me the most about Devolutions was the culture here, and how everyone works as a member of the team. Everyone is pleasant to work with and helpful, which creates a great atmosphere.

What would you say are your top three strengths at work?

First, I’m resourceful and can work independently without supervision. Second, I’m a quick learner. When I understand the basic facts of a task or job, I can take over from there. Third, I’m dedicated and always give 100% to everything that I do.

What tasks do you carry out in your job?

The essence of my role and responsibilities can be summed up in one word: caretaker. It’s my job to ensure that the environment inside and outside is professional, productive, clean and clutter-free, and that it is always welcoming to our many visitors, in addition to our large team of employees.

What are your impressions of working here?

My impressions about this job are very good! My colleagues are amazing, and as I already mentioned, everyone is always willing to help.

What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?

My goals here are to contribute to the strategic development and vision of our entire environment, including work areas, storage, filing, landscaping, visitor experience and more.

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love animals, and when I’m exhausted from studying, I like watching movies to relax.

Hello there! My name is Derick St-Hilaire, and I’m the Salesforce Administrator here at Devolutions. I’m one of the more experienced employees here at Devolutions, and it has been amazing to see the company and community grow over the years. My primary responsibilities include managing our Salesforce platform, and working closely with our strategic partners and customers. I also oversee the management of Devolutions Force, which is our VIP Advocate Community. Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing. When I’m not working, I enjoy camping, walking my dog, playing video games, and I’m a huge movie fan — including the Star Wars franchise of course.
