Hello everyone,

As you hopefully know already, we recently moved into our wonderful new office – which has plenty of space for us to collaborate, create and of course: welcome new team members!

And with that in mind, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to our great new Support Specialist Marc. I had a chance to chat with Marc the other day about his background and role:

What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here? 

There are many factors, but I’d say the most important is the great working environment. I have never seen a place so friendly and inclusive. Everyone here has been incredibly supportive, and has given me an opportunity to make a contribution right away. I really feel fortunate to be here, and am proud to give my best each day.

What would you say are your top three strengths at work? 

First off, I would say that I’m very meticulous. Precision is highly important for me. I’m also very determined, and I won’t stop until something is fixed or a problem is solved. I don’t give up easily!  And finally, I’d say that I have a lot of IT knowledge, computer training, which will be quite useful here at Devolutions.

What tasks do you carry out in your job, and what are some of the tools that you use?

Right now, my main focus is on providing support to our users who are experiencing difficulties with Remote Desktop Manager. I also regularly check the Forum to ensure that our users get timely and complete answers to their questions. I also educate users by guiding them to our very good and growing online help resources.

What are your impressions about working here?

This place is extraordinary! It’s a unique experience, and we have a lot of fun working together. It’s not everyday you hear of a company giving beer to their employees every Thursday! David [our CEO] makes sure everyone here is happy and feels like they’re an important part of the team. All in all, I see Devolutions as the next generation of organizations, which offers not just the best products, but also the best working experience and the friendliest atmosphere. It’s a privilege to work here.

What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?

I would like to further expand my knowledge in the IT field. As I said, I know quite a bit, but there’s always so much more to learn. I love what I do and I like to learn new things, which is good considering the field I work in!

On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

I spend most of my free time reading about scientific breakthroughs on the Internet. I’m fascinated by the progress we have made over the last 50 years. I also read a lot about politics. I care a lot about this subject, and I recently voted in my first federal election. As for hobbies, I like to take a walk at night and sort out my thoughts! I also like to play video games on my laptop every now and then.
