Meet Stacy Bensa: Our New Graphic Artist!

Hello everyone,

Once again, it’s my pleasure to share that the Devolutions team is growing (not a huge surprise considering Remote Desktop Manager is used by more than 200,000 IT pros worldwide!). Please join me in welcoming Stacy Bensa, our talented and friendly new Graphic Designer!

To help you get to know Stacy a bit better, I interviewed him a few days ago. My questions are in bold, followed by his answers:

**Can you tell me a bit about your background? **

At the age of 5, I created my first piece of art: a running horse on a ceramic plate. I remember people saying that I had a lot of potential and a bright future ahead of me (but I was 5, so I was more interested in cartoons!).

And speaking of cartoons, at school, I was always sketching cartoons everywhere in my books. And even when I watched cartoons, I was analyzing every curve, every line, and every single detail to help me understand graphic design. Later in my life, I studied 3D graphic, cartoons and Advertising Art Design (can you believe that we didn’t have computers to help us back then? Everything was done artistically – thank you Apple!)

I’ve been in the art field for over 20 years, ran two businesses, was an Art Director in various industries, and have had my hands on just about everything in the art world -- from t-shirt printing, to web design, to architecture.

How did you meet our CEO David?

I met David through one of my local customers, who gave him my name as a reference. I wasn’t expecting a call from David, and at the time I had no idea that it would eventually change my career and my life!

What are your first impressions of working at Devolutions?

Right away, I felt like a member of the team. To be honest, when David showed me around I was so blown away by how awesome this place is, that I started asking myself “what’s the catch?” Well, there is no catch! I love it here, the people are amazing, and the company is growing and has massive potential. It’s almost too good to be true…but it is!

What does your job involve? What tools do you use?

Currently, I’m re-creating all of Devolutions’ graphics, visuals and web environment styles. I’m using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, my Wacom tablet, a creative mind, and my experience! Hey! I’m actually paid to scribble. What could be a better job than that?

What are some of your hobbies?hobby

I love sports, and I train 3 to 5 times a week. Keeping in shape helps keep me creative and open minded, plus of course it helps me stay fit, youthful, healthy, strong and confident. Another one of my hobbies, and also a small side business, is my Sports Celebrity Oil Paintings. I mostly paint hockey players and scenes, but will eventually expand it to other sports. You can check out some of the work at Painting is really like a focused meditation. It feels just great, and I love honouring the big stars that touched so many people’s lives.

What invention do you wish you had created?

A time machine to travel around the word and the universe. Can you imagine how cool it would be to access the past, present or future in a matter of seconds?

Would you like to say something to our community?

I’m putting all of my love, passion and creativity into everything that I do here, so that you have a fun and unforgettable visual experience whenever you interact with us – through our software, blog, website, forum, and so on. I hope you enjoy my work and please comment on what you see, so that I can constantly improve and give you more of what you love!
