Last week, I interviewed our new software developer (Android) Nicolas Dufour, and asked him few questions so that you could know him a bit better.
Today, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to our new intern software developer (Android) Benoît Racine! My questions are in bold, followed by Benoît’s answers:
Can you tell me a bit about your background?
A few years ago, I was an Android programmer for Velocity Solutions, a software engineering company in Hong Kong. Now, I’m back in university and pursuing my Bachelor degree in Computer science.
How did you meet our CEO David?
I met David while I was looking for an internship. A cousin of mine who works in IT knows Jonathan, one of Devolutions’ programmers. Jonathan put me in touch with David. We had a great interview and that led to me being part of the Devolutions team!
What are your first impressions of working at Devolutions?
I feel very fortunate to be here. This is a wonderful place to work, and every team member is very dedicated to success. Their passion is contagious!
What does your job involve? What tools do you use?
Currently, I’m working with the Android team as we develop the Android version for Remote Desktop Manager. We’re mainly using Xamarin Studio and Visual Studio 2013 as our development tools.
What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy travelling into fantasy worlds when I watch movies, read books and play games. I like the Mass Effect games, and I’m eagerly waiting the next book in the Game of Thrones series!
What invention do you wish you had created?
Well, the invention I’d like to create doesn’t exist yet: a bottomless travel bag that would let people move around with all of their stuff! I often visit family and friends, and wish that there was a way for me to travel with everything – just as how RDM centralizes connections, credentials and passwords!
Would you like to say something to our community?
After few weeks working here, I can tell you that everyone here really cares about the community. You are in good hands with Devolutions!
